Ather Rizta: A Perfect Electric Scooter Designed for Family Needs

The leaked camouflaged photos of Ather Rizta offer a glimpse of the design and features. Key highlights include a large LED headlight for improved night visibility, alloy wheels with disc brakes for both style & safety and sufficient ground clearance for navigating Indian roads comfortably. It offers family functionality such as two spacious up-seats, a raised backrest for pillion comfort, a flat floorboard, and a practical hook for everyday essentials. Additionally, it includes a round LED taillight, a lady footrest, and different color options.

Largest Seat in its Segment with Decent Underseat Storage

The company claims that the Ather Rizta offers the largest seat in its segment. The viral picture of the scooter features a capacious under-storage space that can accommodate a half-face helmet, groceries, a lunchbox, a compact bag, and other essential items, making it a perfect vehicle for daily commutes. Apart from the main storage, Rizta also offers a small storage area by the seat’s hinge for putting small items such as wallets, purses, and other stuff.

Waterproof with an IP-67 Battery Pack

The Ather Rizta is claimed to have an IP67-rated battery pack that can withstand water. The viral footage of the water test of the electric scooter shows the Rizta easily navigating through 400 mm of water without compromising its critical components. This feature highlights the robust build of the electric scooter, which is suitable for various weather conditions.

The battery is one of the most essential components of any electric vehicle, and the Ather’s co-founder has shared the strength test of the Ather battery on social media. The Rizta’s battery was dropped from a 40-foot height to check its strength, and the battery landed safely on the ground without any damage due to aluminum casings on the battery for safety and thermal performance.

Additional Features of Ather Rizta

The Ather Rizta features a horizontal bar-type headlight and a taillight. It also has full-LED lights for better vision, especially at night, a fully digital instrumental cluster, different ride modes, mobile integration, fast charging capability, a 12-inch 5-spoke wheel, and disc drum brakes on both wheels.

While there is no clear announcement on the scooter range, industry speculations suggest that the Rizta might offer above 150 km range on a full charge, giving good competition to the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter. This scooter is expected to be priced between 1.25 lakh to 1.45 lakh. This price will position it directly against popular electric scooters like the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, OLA S1 X+, and others. The market is eagerly awaiting the launch. Let’s see what’s coming up in the upcoming launch.
