Here are six upcoming budgeted electric vehicles in 2024 that you should not miss!!
1. Citroen eC3 Aircross
The much-anticipated Citroen eC3 Aircross is an electric version of the C3 Aircross. It is expected to feature a 29.2kWh battery with a 57hp electric motor. As per the news, it will be introduced as a 5- or 7-seater like its fuel version model. It is priced between Rs 15-17 lakh.
2. Hyundai Creta EV
Hyundai plans to launch an electric version of the Creta in the third quarter of 2024. It will be based on the internal combustion engine platform but with a unique design element to distinguish it from its gasoline version. The company hasn’t disclosed the battery capacity, range, or motor output. But more likely, it will compete with the MG ZS EV and Maruti’s upcoming eVX. It is priced between Rs 23-25 lakh.
3. Maruti Suzuki eVX
Jointly developed with Toyota, Maruti’s first electric SUV, the eVX, will launch in late 2024. It is expected to feature a twin-screen setup, a 360-degree camera, ADAS, and two battery options—60kWh and 48kWh—for a diverse range of preferences. It is priced at Rs. 18 lakh.
4. Tata Curvv EV
Positioned above the Nexon, the Curvv is an SUV-coupe offering a standout design, digital screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment, and an initial EV version with a range of 400–500 km. It has a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a touch-enabled climate control cluster, and a sunroof. It is priced between Rs 14-20 lakh.
5. Tata Harrier EV
The Harrier EV is based on the diesel Harrier’s Omega architecture with re-engineering for electrification. As per the experts, it will feature a 60kWh battery, dual motors, all-wheel drive, and an expected range of 400–500km. It is priced between Rs 27-30 lakh.
6. Tata Punch EV
After the success of the Nexon EV, this is the fourth all-electric model Tata is offering in India. The Punch EV will take on the Citroën eC3. It has a large 10.25-inch touchscreen, all-wheel disc brakes, LED headlamps, and a sunroof. It is priced between Rs 13-15 lakh.
